Professional Biography

Dr. Fayaza Ahmed is an accomplished Psychologist and Senior Instructor with over 15 years of expertise in mental health specialization on child and adolescent psychology, developmental mental health, and trauma-focused interventions. Serving as the lead for training, monitoring, and evaluation of Child Psychologists at Shishu Bikash Kendra, Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), across government hospitals in Bangladesh, Dr. Fayaza Ahmed plays a pivotal role in advancing mental health service delivery.

Holding an MSc in Psychology and a Ph.D. from the University of Dhaka, with a research focus on Trauma and Childhood Coping, Dr. Fayaza Ahmed combines academic rigor with extensive clinical practice. Certified in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Psychotraumatology, Dr. Fayaza Ahmed is adept at addressing complex psychological needs. Additional qualifications include a Diploma in Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) and Transactional Analysis, alongside specialized training in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), Psychodrama, and various psychometric assessments, including IQ, DQ, behavioral, and evaluations for learning difficulties. Dr. Fayaza Ahmed is also trained in developmental assessments and the diagnosis of neurodevelopmental disabilities, such as autism and ADHD.
