About Md. Ridwan Ashfiq Chy
Md. Ridwan Ashfiq Chy is an assistant clinical psychologist with postgraduate degree in Clinical Psychology from the University of Dhaka and professional experience across clinical, humanitarian, educational, and community mental health settings. He has worked with adolescents, adults, couples, families, and groups, providing evidence-based psychotherapy, psychological assessment, behavior therapy, and mental health and psychosocial support (MHPSS) services.
His clinical interests include anxiety disorders, depression, trauma and PTSD, OCD, stress-related conditions, relationship difficulties, behavioral concerns, and psychosocial wellbeing. He is experienced in conducting comprehensive psychological assessments, including cognitive, adaptive behavior, and personality assessments, as well as developing individualized case formulations and treatment plans tailored to clients’ unique needs.
Ridwan integrates evidence-based approaches such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), motivational interviewing, mindfulness-based interventions, and psychological first aid (PFA) to provide compassionate, collaborative, and culturally responsive care. His professional experience also includes behavior therapy, psychosocial support, case management, safeguarding, and multidisciplinary collaboration in both clinical and humanitarian settings.
